Received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering from the Armed Forces University-ESPE, Sangolquí, Ecuador, in 2008, and the M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas, Campinas, SP, Brazil, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of São Carlos, São Carlos, SP, Brazil. Her research interests include wireless communications in general, cooperative relaying networks, cognitive radio systems, physical layer security, and technologies for 5G networks.
