Holds a Bachelors and Teaching Degree in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences (IB) at the University of São Paulo (USP), completed in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Holds a Masters degree (2011) and a PhD (2016) in Biology (Biochemistry) from the Biochemistry Program at the Institute of Chemistry (IQ), USP. Has experience in the field of Biological Sciences, with an emphasis on insect biochemistry and physiology. Worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Insubria, Italy (2016, for three months), and at the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge, UK (2019, for one month). Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science, Portugal (2021-2022), and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Ecology, Institute of Biosciences, USP (periods: 2017-2020 and 2023-present).
