David dos Santos Soares

Bachelor in Biological Sciences, with an emphasis on Environmental Sciences, from Centro Universitário São Camilo (2016). Master in Sciences (Zoology) from the Institute of Biosciences at the University of São Paulo (2019). Currently pursuing a PhD in Biochemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (2021-2025), and an MBA in Digital Business at USP-Esalq.During voluntary scientific initiation at the Laboratory of Evolutionary Developmental Biology (2015-2017), gained experience in the systematics of tunicates (Chordata: Tunicata). During the Masters program in the same laboratory, worked with techniques such as fluorescence microscopy, differential interference contrast microscopy, confocal microscopy, histology, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting. In 2021, began the PhD at the Molecular Studies of Bacterial Division Laboratory, where he has been working with techniques including fluorescence microscopy, differential interference contrast microscopy, bacterial cultures, bacterial lipid extraction and quantification methods, thin-layer chromatography, fluorimetry, bacterial transformation for mutant generation, and high-throughput screening for drug discovery.
