Guido Artemio Maranon Vasquez

Dental Surgeon from the University of San Martín de Porres (USMP), Lima - Peru (2010); Certificate in Orthodontics by the National University of San Marcos, Lima - Peru (2015); Master of Science (Pediatric Dentistry) by the School of Dentistry of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FORP-USP) (2018); and PhD in Dentistry (area: Orthodontics) by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (FO-UFRJ) (2023), with a doctoral visit period at the University of Aberta, Canada (2021-2022). He was awarded a scholarship throughout his undergraduate studies in recognition of his academic excellence. He was also a CAPES scholarship holder from 2015 to 2022 and a FAPESP scholarship holder - technical training TT3 - from 2017 to 2018. He has constant participation in national and international academic events, either as a participant or lecturer. He develops research mainly in the following areas: oral biology (genetic variants associated with craniofacial variations), orthodontic clinical research, 3D imaging, and systematic reviews. He acts as a reviewer for national and international journals in different areas of Dentistry.In the professional aspect, he has clinical experience in the public and private service in the areas of general dentistry and orthodontics, respectively (2012-2015). He was assistant professor of Orthodontics at the University of San Martin de Porres, Lima-Peru (2014). Likewise, he participated as a collaborating professor of Preventive Orthodontics at FORP-USP (2016). In relation to outreach activities, he was part of the project "Oral Health Promotion and Orthodontics" promoted by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics of the FO-UFRJ, and the teaching team of the Training in Systematic Reviews and Meta- analyzes offered by the Graduate Program in Dentistry at FO-UFRJ.He currently works as a research collaborator (supervisor) in the BRISA project (Ribeirão Preto cohort), of the Center for Child and Adolescent Health Studies of the Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo, which evaluates factors etiologies of preterm and perinatal labor on child health.
