I have a PhD and Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Materials from ITA (Brazil) and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from EEL-USP (Brazil). I am a Visiting Researcher at ISEP, Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP) (Portugal) and Laboratory of New Concepts in Aeronautics at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA-Brazil), and a full-time professor at the Faculty of Technology of São Paulo. José dos Campos (Brazil). My main research areas are Composite Materials, Adhesive Joints, Fracture Mechanical Tests, Numerical Simulation, Thermoplastic Composites, Nanocomposites, Recycling, Machining and Manufacturing Processes of Composite Structures, and Material Characterization (mechanical tests (tension, flexion, compression, DCB, 4ENF, MMB and fatigue tests), void content analyses, thermal analyzes (DMA, TGA, TMA and DSC), spectroscopy techniques (FT-IR, UV-VIS, luminescence) and microscopy techniques (SEM and OM). several master's theses, scientific initiation and undergraduate projects in the areas of polymers, composite materials and metals. I was involved in projects financed by several companies, in the areas of nanocomposite manufacturing, recycling of composite materials and repair of turbine blades research, several articles have been published in ISI international journals or presented at international scientific conferences. I am the author and co-author of 50 research articles in international scientific journals and have published around 100 conference papers. I am a reviewer for several journals in the area of composite materials, I am an Ad hoc member of the Permanent Committee for Full-Time Research Projects at the CPS and also a member of the scientific committee of Brazilian conferences.
