I hold a degree in Biomedicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), a Master's in Genetics from the same institution, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK). Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo, and an International Training Fellow at the Wellcome Trust (UK). My work focuses on Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biochemistry, with a special interest in elucidating the mechanisms of gene expression regulation in trypanosomes. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
