Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (ESALQ) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
I am an agronomic engineer graduated from ESALQ-USP, where I discovered my interest in molecular biology and genetics, recognizing the potential of these fields for sustainable solutions. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in iGEM, which introduced me to synthetic biology and sparked my passion for innovation.I pursued a specialization in Bioinformatics at Wageningen University, where I deepened my knowledge in biological algorithms, data analysis, high-performance computing, and exploring the genomic potential of microorganisms. Back in Brazil, I completed my masters degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at FMRP-USP, developing the ChiMera tool to explore prokaryotic metabolism, which was published in BMC Bioinformatics. My experience includes two years as the lead developer at an agro-tech startup and work as a bioinformatician in research at FMRP-USP. Currently, I am the founder of Prometeus, focused on energy transition and the development of industrial strains for environmental solutions, using biotechnology and biological algorithms.
