Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Masters and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), and Postdoctoral research at Purdue University (USA). Worked on projects focused on the determination of pharmaceuticals using flow injection analysis (FIA) and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). Applied Design of Experiments (DoE) in forced degradation studies of pharmaceuticals and structural elucidation of degradation products. Worked with amorphous solid dispersions prepared by hot-melt extrusion (HME) and solvent evaporation, as well as solid-state characterization. In the pharmaceutical industry, performed activities related to the development of stability-indicating analytical methods, forced degradation studies, risk analysis for elemental impurities, preparation of reports on mutagenic impurities, and technical evaluation of active pharmaceutical ingredient documentation (Drug Master File DMF) in compliance with ANVISA requirements. Has expertise in Quality by Design (QbD) and experience with analytical techniques such as liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, thermogravimetry (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), UV-Vis spectrophotometry, Raman and FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).
