Paula Tavares Pinto is a Professor at São Paulo State University (UNESP). She holds a Master's (2004) and a Ph.D degree in Applied Linguistics (2009). She developed part of her Ph.D studies at The University of Manchester, UK, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Surrey, UK (2018), at the Pontifical Catholic University, Brazil (2021) and at the Univ. of Queensland, AU (2023). Currently, she coordinates the Language Center and the English Teaching Assistant Program (ETAs-Fulbright/Capes) at UNESP in S.J.do Rio Preto. As a member of the Graduate Program of Linguistics, her research areas are: Translation Studies, Terminology, Applied Linguistics, English for Specific and Academic Purposes, Corpus Linguistics, Data-driven learning.
