Meri Emili Pinto Nascimento

Searching new drug candidates, she is engaged in the study of cyclic peptides (Orbitides, Cyclotides and Defensins) from natural sources. She has degree in Chemistry by the Federal Institute of Technological Education of Paraíba (2007), Master in Natural Products and Synthetic Bioactive by the Federal University of Paraíba (2009) and PhD in Chemistry by the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP) (2013). She made internship (PDSE / CAPES, 2012) in Medizinische Universität Wien, MSCore Facility Laboratory, Center of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Medical University of Vienna (Austria) and is currently a visitor researcher at The University of Queensland (Australia), with FAPESP fellowship.
