Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in chemistry from the Maringá State University (UEM). Ph.D. in Science from Campinas State University (UNICAMP) with emphasis on Analytical Chemistry. Visiting graduate student in the University of Aveiro, Portugal, working with two-dimensional gas chromatography applied to the metabolomic analysis of microorganisms, and also at Prof. Pawliszyn Research Group in the University of Waterloo, Canada, working on the development of new devices applied to the analysis of food and biological samples. During his academic career, his research interests were focused on Analytical Chemistry with emphasis on chromatographic techniques-based mass spectrometry (GC-MS, GCxGC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS) and also the development of analytical methods associated with miniaturized and green sample preparation (usually SPME and LPME) methods for different matrices, such as biological samples, food, microorganisms, etc. He is a volunteer reviewer of peer-reviewed journals such as Analytica Chimica Acta, Food Chemistry, Journal of Analytical Methods and Brazilian Journal of Analytical Chemistry.Currently, he is the researcher in charge of gas chromatography and metabolomics at Apex Science, Campinas. Still open for scientific partnerships mainly in microextraction techniques and general metabolomics approach. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
