João Victor has a double B.A. degree in English and Portuguese, at the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH - USP), with an emphasis on American Literature. He is currently undertaking a Master's Degree in Drama and History at the program of Linguistic and Literary Studies in English at the University of São Paulo, under the supervision of Prof. Maria Silvia Betti, PhD. Between 2017 and 2018, he conducted an Undergraduate Research on Contemporary American Theater, that was funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), also under the supervision of Prof. Betti. Between 2015 and 2016, he acted as an academic writing tutor at the Laboratory of Academic Writing at FFLCH - USP, under the guidance of Prof. Marília Mendes Ferreira. He especializes in Modern American Drama and was one the recipients of an Honorable Mention Award at the 26th USP International Symposium of Undergraduate Research, in 2018, for his undergraduate research project.
