I was a Postdoctoral Researcher (2015-2017) at McGill University (Canada). I received my Ph.D. in Operations Research (2015) from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA, Brazil), with a period as a visiting Ph.D. student at the Pennsylvania State University (PSU, USA). I have a Master of Science in Energy Engineering (2008) from the Federal University of Itajubá (Unifei, Brazil) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology (2000) from the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil). I have experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Assistant Professor in undergraduate and graduate courses and published 30+ articles in peer-review journals, book chapters, and scientific conferences and have filed one international patent application. My research interests include Atmospheric and Space Science and Operations Research with an emphasis in meteorological applications, decision analysis, and natural hazards, mainly in the following areas: decision support systems, quantitative methods, multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), problem structuring methods (PSM), risk analysis, and critical infrastructure protection. Currently, I am an Environment/Scientific Consultant and decision and risk analyst. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
