José Damico has 23 years of experience in technology. In his first company he developed pioneering technologies for e-learning and information security devices. During that same period he was co-founder of an e-procurement startup, still active to this day. Later, he started his activities at IBM. He was a software engineer, and distinguished himself with the development of the DB2 platform for analyzing large volumes of data, even then he was elected to the IBM Technology Leadership Council. For 8 years he developed innovative projects, founded a startup of security systems embedded in processors in Silicon Valley, invested by Intel Capital. In the last few years, he served as CIO and R&D in technology companies focused on the financial market in Brazil and Europe. He also has a strong presence in the international free software community.
