She holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy from the State University of Campinas (2007) and is a specialist in Deafness: Development and Inclusion (2009) from the same university. She earned her Master's degree (2010) and PhD (2015) in Applied Linguistics, specializing in Multiculturalism, Plurilingualism, and Bilingual Education, at the State University of Campinas. In 2020, she completed postdoctoral work in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Institute of Language Studies at the State University of Campinas (DLA/IEL/UNICAMP). Currently, she is a faculty member at the School of Education (FE/UNICAMP), responsible for teaching the course on Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and Deaf Education at the undergraduate level. She also contributes to the Graduate Program in Education at FE/UNICAMP, where she participates in the research area "Language and Art in Education." She is the leader of the Research Group "Language in Diversity" (GP-LnD/CNPq) and the Vice-leader of the CNPq Research Group "Writing Practices and Reflection on Writing in Different Media" (led by Professor Inês Signorini - UNICAMP/CNPq). She is also a member of the Study Group on Language and Transculturality (GELT/CNPq). With a background and experience in the field of Applied Linguistics, her work and interests focus mainly on the following topics: (multi)literacies, translanguaging, languages and technologies, teacher education, diversity/difference, language education, and bilingual/multilingual education for the deaf, as well as Brazilian Sign Language.
