Full Professor at the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, where he is a faculty member since 1993, he holds degrees in Civil Engineering and MSc in Civil Engineering/Water Resources from Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1984, 1990) and DrEng in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1999).
