Júlia Clara de Pontes

Júlia Clara (she/her) is a PhD candidate at the Medical School, University of Sao Paulo (USP). She holds a MSc in Social Psychology (Institute of Psychology, USP) and a bachelors degree in psychology (Federal University of Sao Paulo, UNIFESP). In recent years, Júlia has worked on different research projects around the intersections of social psychology and public health, focusing on specific topics: health care and access, health inequalities, psychosocial and sociocultural aspects in public health, vulnerability, health prevention and promotion. Much of her research interest focuses on the needs and experiences of transgender and gender diverse people, especially those regarding health assistance. Currently, her doctoral research is focused on examining Brazilian healthcare assistance for transgender and gender diverse children, adolescents, and their families. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
