Sciences (2007-2012) from the Federal University of Viçosa, with a Master's (2012-2014) and a Ph.D. (2014-2018) in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, including a sandwich period at the Pasteur Institute in Paris (France). Completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) (2019-2020) and at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (2018-2019 and 2020-2021), where he also worked as a professor. Additionally, served as a substitute professor in the Department of Food Engineering at UFV-Campus Florestal (2014-2015). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor I at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and conducts research on topics related to: Mechanism of action and resistance to antifungals, Biology of fungi causing opportunistic mycoses, Bacteria-Fungi-Host interaction, and One Health Microbiology. He is a researcher at INCT Pathogenic Fungi (FunVir). He is a member of the faculty board of the Biomedicine course and the Graduate Program in Parasitic Biology at UFRN. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
