Secretaria da Saúde (São Paulo - Estado). Instituto Butantan  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Colômbia

Graduated in Biology - Universidad Industrial de Santander (2017). She has a background in Molecular Biology with an emphasis on curing and processing transcriptomic data generated with next-generation sequencing. PhD in Sciences - Toxinology (2023) in the postgraduate program in Toxinology at Instituto Butantan, where he developed a project involving the transcriptomic and proteomic composition of the venom of two tribes of opistoglyphal snakes. Using these data he was able to describe and understand the evolutionary processes (e.g. recruitment and gene duplication) that shaped the toxin composition of these groups of animals. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Butantan Institute in a project that aims to sequence the genomes of three Brazilian snake species to understand the evolution and origin of their toxins.
