Computer Science Multiinstitutional Doctorate Program Vice-Chair (UNIFACS-UFBA-UEFS) (2007-10). Chair of the Professional Graduate Program in Computer Science at UFPE (2019-21). Currently he is the Chair of the Professional Graduate Program in Software Engineering at CESAR School. CS Graduate Program Coordinator Forum founder and coordinator (1995-98 and 2005-06). Deputy Director of Centro de Informática at UFPE (2013-21). Has experience in Computer Science, focusing on Telecomputing, acting on the following subjects: computer networks, measurement, quality of service, performance evaluation, and cybersecurity. In 2014, received the Computer Network Brazilian Symposium Distinguished Premium for his scientific contributions in the areas of computer networks and distributed systems, for his participation in the Symposium activities, and for his services that benefitted this community. In 2019, received the Brazilian Computing Society Newton Faller Award in recognition for his brilliant collaboration and commitment in multiple activities of great interest to the National Computing Community, specially, those related to the CS Graduate Program Coordinators Forum.
