He has a degree in Mathematics and Physics from the university Surcolombiana, Neiva-Colombia (2003), a Master's degree in Fundamental Physics from the university Los Andes, Mérida-Venezuela (2010) and a PhD in Astrophysics from the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) São José dos Campos-Brazil (2017). He works mainly in the areas of astronomy, solar physics and plasma dynamics, with lines of research centred on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves, thermal equilibrium in the solar atmosphere and astrophysical plasma heating by wave damping. He has experience in processing images and spectra provided by the TRACE, SDO, GOES and IRIS space probes, with data analysis using Fourier and Wavelet transforms. He also has knowledge of the programming languages IDL, FORTRAN 77, Mathematica and Python. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
