Ítalo Esposti Poly da Silva

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (2014), a Master's degree in Cellular and Structural Biology from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2018), and a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2024), with a research internship at the New York Structural Biology Center, where he worked with cryo-electron microscopy for high-resolution structure determination of proteins and protein-ligand complexes. He has experience in Biochemistry, with an emphasis on Molecular Biology, focusing on the following areas: protein expression and purification, cellular models for neurodegenerative diseases, medicinal chemistry, structural biology, and the ribosomal quality control pathway.
