Natasha Nême Gonçalves de Almeida

Currently a master's student in the Postgraduate Program in Urban Engineering (PPGEU) at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) with research funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, process: 2024/05980-8) and an ongoing Research Internship Abroad Grant (BEPE/FAPESP, process: 2025/00285-2) with the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP, Argentina), as the first result of the International Cooperation Agreement between UNLP and UFSCar. She has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP/Bauru). She was a FAPESP scientific initiation scholarship holder (2018-2019) in the project "Urban insertion: from the favela to the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program" (process: 2017/21011-1) and was one of the finalists in the selection of the best researches in the XXXI UNESP Scientific Initiation Congress. Together with UNESP and UFSCAR, she was a member of the research groups in the areas of urban planning and housing policies. She was a consultant in social housing for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in the EEDUS Program through the cooperation between the German and Brazilian governments responsible for the preparation of technical reports for the "Methodology for evaluating degraded housing projects and developing tools aiming at the expansion of investments in energy efficiency" in MCMV projects in Bauru. She worked with the licensing of large-scale social housing projects in the private sector with the competent public agencies. It works on the following topics: social housing, Latin American urban dynamics, evaluation and analysis of applied urban instruments, urban and regional planning, railway industrial heritage and public policies aimed at the right to the city and housing.
