Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
I hold a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and am currently a PhD candidate at the Laboratory of Electrophysiology, Neurobiology, and Behavior (LENC), with a focus on neurobiology. I completed a research internship abroad (sandwich PhD) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), in the Addiction Neurobiology Laboratory: Circuits, Neurophysiology, and Pharmacology, under the supervision of Dr. Elyssa Margolis. This opportunity was made possible through the Institutional Internationalization Program (PRINT/CAPES), with funding from the Brazilian research agency CAPES.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered for the UNICAMP Task Force, actively contributing to frontline diagnostic efforts. I hold a master's degree and have extensive undergraduate research experience in the same field and laboratory where I currently conduct my doctoral research.I have also participated in undergraduate research projects in the Molecular Genetics Laboratory at the School of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP and in the Neuroproteomics Laboratory at the Institute of Biology, both with a focus on neurobiology. My research interests include human physiology, neuroscience, proteomics, transcriptomics, and human genetics.
