He is currently a research member of the "Linc" study group, coordinated by Prof. Maria Célia Lima-Hernandes, FFLCH-USP, where she works on a post-doctoral research project entitled: "The processing of equative metaphors audio-described by congenitally blind people and fMRI mapping". 2018-2020), developing the research: "Audio description under the lens of fMRI", under the supervision of prof. doctor Said Rabbani, with CNPq scholarship. Between 2015-2017, he completed postdoctoral research, also with a CNPq scholarship, entitled: "Audio description as accessibility for the visually impaired", under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria Celia Lima-Hernandes, at FFLCH. He has a PhD in Applied Linguistics since 2005, from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, with a CAPES scholarship, presenting the thesis: "The construction of social identities of visually impaired students in conversations about texts". He holds a Master's degree in Portuguese from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, in 1996, developing his dissertation on the theme: "Reading, subjectivity and construction of meaning", with a scholarship from CNPq. He graduated in the Letters course (Portuguese Language and its Literatures) by the same Institution, in 1992, (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
