He holds a Bachelors degree (2011) and a Masters degree (2014) in Mathematics from the Università degli Studi di Perugia (Perugia, Italy); a Ph.D. in Dottorato in Matematica e Informatica XXX ciclo, jointly awarded by the Università del Salento (Lecce, Italy) and the Università degli Studi della Basilicata (Potenza, Italy) in 2018; a postdoctoral fellowship at ICMCUSP (20182021); and a Livre-Docência from the University of Campinas (2025). He is currently an Associate Professor (MS5.1) in the Department of Mathematics at IMECCUNICAMP. Between May 2021 and May 2025, he was an Assistant Professor in the same Department (MS3.1 from 05/2021 to 03/2025; MS3.2 from 03/2025 to 06/2025). His research is in Algebra; his main area of interest is Algebraic Curves, both in characteristic zero and in positive characteristic (with particular emphasis on their automorphism groups and Weierstrass points) and their applications, especially to Lattices, Coding Theory, Cryptography, and Finite Geometry.
