Graduated in Agronomy (2008), with a Master's degree (2011) and a Ph.D. (2016) in Plant Pathology from the University of Brasília, including a sandwich period at the University of California Davis. She completed postdoctoral research in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of California Davis (2016-2018 and 2023-2024) and in the Department of Plant Pathology and Nematology at the Escola Superior de Agronomia "Luiz de Queiroz" (Esalq/USP) (2018-2019). She was a professor at the Federal Institute of Goiano, Urutaí campus (2019-2021), where she continues to serve as a professor and advisor in the Professional Master's Program in Plant Protection. Since 2021, she has been a professor at the Federal Institute of Brasília, Campus Planaltina. Her research focuses on the epidemiology and management of plant diseases. She also works on the biological and molecular characterization of phytoviruses, phylogenetic analysis, and transmission of phytoviruses by insect vectors. Begomovirus disease affects several crops with economic importance in Brazil, especially tomato crop.
