Associate Professor (MS 5.1) in the Department of Sociology (DS) at the Institute of Philosophy and Humanities (IFCH) of the University of Campinas (Unicamp). He is a member of the Center for Marxist Studies (Cemarx/IFCH), the Center for Contemporary Sociology (CSC-IFCH), and the Poulantzas Brazil Network (https://poulantzasbrasil.com.br/). He served as the head of the DS from 2017 to 2021, as a Counselor representing the MS3 bench on the University Council of Unicamp from 2017 to 2021, and as Regional Secretary (São Paulo, Area II) of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC) from 2021 to 2023. He currently occupies the position of Executive Director of Student Support (DEAPE) at Unicamp and is a member of the Editorial Board of Unicamp Press. He has also served as a Collaborating Professor at the University of Londrina and at Unesp/Marília. His current research focuses on the following topics: middle class; sociological theory of inequality; progressive neoliberalism; liberal-conservatism; and the far-right.
