Renata Possobon

I hold a degree in Physics (2017), and a master's (2020) and a Ph.D. (2024) in Applied Mathematics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. In 2019 I did a Research Internship (BEPE-FAPESP) at University of Pisa. From June 2023 to June 2024, I visited the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, hosted by Professor Jürgen Jost. I am a member of the Max Planck Partner Group in Brazil with a focus on geometry and probability in dynamical systems. I study the geometric and statistical properties of dynamical systems. I'm interested in to address the intrinsic properties of probability spaces to relate them to the global statistical properties of dynamics. In particular, I have studied the disintegration of measures in terms of conditional measures in different contexts.#8203; I have also worked in the discrete setting, in particular, in Markov chains on discrete spaces and the cohomology of digraphs. I currently holds the position of Professor Doctor I, level MS - 3.1, in the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Scientific Computing at UNICAMP.
