MD degree from Universidade Federal do Pará (1990), Medical Residency (1994), Master's degree (1997) and Ph.d. in Cardiology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2005), MBA in Health Management from Insper (2007 - 2009) and is a certified VBHC Green Belt from VBHC Center Europe and a Masters in Care Transformation Program at the Value Institute for Health and Care, University of Texas at Austin (USA). She served as the Head of Cardiology at Albert Einstein Hospital from 2005 to 2016 and since then she is dedicated to education, research, mentoring and consulting in Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) with a focus on Brazil and Latin America, through Mak Valor, a company she has founded in 2020. In 2017, she implemented the Value Management Office at Einstein and currently she serves as the VBHC Center Europe Ambassador for Brazil, Co-Chair of the American College of Cardiology's VBHC initiative (USA), Collaborating Professor at Deusto Business School, University of Deusto (Spain), Collaborating Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral (Brasil).
