Birthplace: Brazil

Academic background in chemistry, with a focus on research and teaching, marked by active involvement in academic and scientific endeavors since my undergraduate studies. During my undergraduate years, I participated in tutoring programs, assisting students from different fields, which sparked my interest in teaching and motivated me to share knowledge. Early in my scientific career, I dedicated myself to the synthesis of metal complexes, working with various metals, particularly iron and ruthenium complexes, and developing a broad understanding of coordination chemistry. I completed my bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the State University of Maringá in 2011, followed by a master's degree at the same institution in 2014, where I deepened my work in inorganic chemistry, focusing on the synthesis of N-heterocyclic compounds and metal complexes. Subsequently, in 2018, I completed my Ph.D. in Chemistry at the State University of Campinas, where I expanded my research scope by studying materials such as graphene, Prussian blue, and electrode modifications for sensor development. After completing my Ph.D., I undertook my first postdoctoral fellowship at the University of São Paulo (2018-2020), where I worked on the synthesis of catalysts for the water oxidation reaction, focusing on applications for renewable fuel production. During this period, I broadened my experience in catalyst and functional material research, combining principles of inorganic chemistry with the pursuit of sustainable solutions. My international experience was further enhanced during a postdoctoral fellowship at Uppsala University, Sweden (2021-2022), where I worked with advanced synchrotron radiation techniques, significantly expanding my scientific collaborations and materials analysis skills. I returned to USP in 2022 for another postdoctoral position, continuing my work in catalysis and electrochemistry. Currently, I am an assistant professor at the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo, in the Department of Fundamental Chemistry. I conduct research in the fields of energy catalysis, materials chemistry, and artificial photosynthesis, with an emphasis on electrocatalysts and sustainable applications. My academic background and practical experience enable me to contribute to scientific advancement, with a focus on addressing energy and environmental challenges. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
