Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the State University of Maringá (2001) and PhD in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the Federal University of São Paulo (2006). She is currently Associate Professor IV at the Institute of Biotechnology (IBTEC), Biochemistry area, and advisor in the Postgraduate Program in Genetics and Biochemistry at the Federal University of Uberlândia. She has experience in the area of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with emphasis on Biochemistry of microorganisms, working mainly on the following subjects: Biochemistry and Biology of Leishmania protozoa, host-parasite interaction, anti-Leishmania and anti-tumor action of snake toxins, metal complexes and photosensitizing compounds.
