Holds a PhD in Archaeology from the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at the University of São Paulo (MAE/USP), funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). He earned a Masters degree in Economic Development from the Institute of Economics at the University of Campinas (IE/Unicamp), supported by scholarships from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).He specialised in Ancient Egypt at the Institute of Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (IEPOA/UAB) and holds a Bachelor's and a Teaching Degree in History from the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages, and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH/USP).He served as a visiting researcher in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at the University of California, Los Angeles (NELC/UCLA), with funding from the Institutional Internationalisation Programme (PRINT/CAPES). In the academic sphere, he was a lecturer in History and the Postgraduate Programme in Human Rights at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP). Additionally, he taught International Relations at the Faculty of Campinas (FACAMP) and the Paulista University (UNIP), and has also been a lecturer at Salesian University (UNISAL) and Anhanguera University.Currently, he focuses his research on the economy of Ancient Egypt within the geopolitical context of the Late Bronze Age collapse. He also manages two YouTube channels dedicated to scientific dissemination: Professor Thomas de Toledo, which covers Geopolitics and International Relations, and Farol de Alexandria, which focuses on History, Archaeology, and Egyptology.
