Marcelo Pires de Oliveira

Undergraduate major in Biomedical Sciences at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2006), Master's degree in Pharmacology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2008) and PhD in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2014). My experience is in Pharmacology and Neuroscience, with emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Synaptic Biology, mainly on the following themes: testosterone, muscle atrophy, synaptic development and nicotinic acetylcholine receptor dynamics. Auxiliary Professor of Pharmacology, Biostatistics and Biochemistry at Universidade Bandeirante de São Paulo (UNIBAN) (2007-8).Current I teach at the Centro Universitário UNIME School of Medicine (Lauro de Freitas, BA; 2020 - ) , where I am also Coordinator of the Institutional Research Ethics Committe.
