Tauany de Figueiredo Neves

Graduated in Environmental Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP/2020), with projects focused on the synthesis of nanomaterials based on graphene oxide, their characterisation and application in the removal of pollutants in water, she was awarded by the Dean of Research of UNICAMP with honourable mention (2018) and scientific merit (2019) and nominated for the 16th Outstanding Scientific and Technological Initiation Award (CNPq/2018). PhD in Technology, with an emphasis on the Environmental area, from the Faculty of Technology at UNICAMP (2024), with a sandwich doctorate period at the University of Aveiro (2023), had her work entitled Development of new graphene oxide-based membranes for the removal of contaminants in water awarded in the third edition of the UNICAMP Outstanding Thesis Award as the best thesis in the field of Engineering and Technology. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Chemistry at the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences (FFLCH) of the University of São Paulo (USP), where she conducts research on new polymeric materials modified with nanocarbons for gas separation. She has experience in the synthesis of new materials and nanomaterials (membranes, sponges, nanocarbons, nanoparticles, and the like); material characterization (XRD, XPS, Raman, FT-IR, AFM, SEM, TEM, LSCM, zeta potential, and water contact angle); adsorption processes (adsorption and desorption tests, kinetic studies, isotherms, and thermodynamics); analytical techniques (GC-MS/MS, UV-Vis, and EAA); and computational modeling based on Density Functional Theory (DFT).
