Birthplace: Brazil

Full Professor at the State University of Maringá (UEM - Paraná, since 2021) and currently Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Physics at the same institution (term 2024-2026). Graduated in Physics Bachelor (2010), Master (2012) and PhD(2015) in Condensed Matter Physics from the State University of Maringá. He participated in the Sandwich Doctorate Program Abroad (PDSE-CAPES) at Utah State University (USU-USA), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stephen E. Bialkowski. He completed a postdoctoral internship in Physics at the University of São Paulo (USP) at the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tomaz Catunda. He has experience in Condensed Matter Physics, working mainly in the following areas: Development and characterization of glassy systems doped with optically active ions; Mechanical, thermal, structural, optical and spectroscopic properties of crystalline and non-crystalline, organic and inorganic solids. He performs theoretical and experimental studies of photothermal phenomena using mainly Thermal Lens and Thermal Mirror techniques, and also non-linear optical techniques, more specifically time-resolved Z-Scan.
