Abstract
The purpose of the project is to analyze the reception of Euripides' Medea in the book VII of Ovid's Metamorphoses and in the tragic play Medea of Seneca. The focus of Euripides' tragedy is on Jason's betrayal, who breaks a marriage pact to take as his new wife the king of Corinth's daughter, and on Medea's actions to revenge herself.
