Since 2018, he has been Adjunct Professor of Ancient History at the Department of History at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, permanent professor-researcher of the Postgraduate Program in History at the same university, and leader of the research group MITHRA - Laboratório de Historia Antiga Global ( CNPq). He has a bachelor's degree and a degree in History from the University of São Paulo (2005), where he also obtained a master's degree (2009) and doctorate (2015) in Social History. His dissertation, entitled "Athenian democracy inside out", received the Prize for best dissertation in Social History from USP in 2010; His thesis, "Athens and the Roman Mediterranean (2nd century BC - 1st century AD)", received the Award for best thesis in Social History from USP in 2016. He published, in 2014, the book "The Athenian Democracy from the Inside Out", by Edusp. Currently, he is carrying out research on the Hellenistic period from the perspective of Global History, with an emphasis on the relationship between the environment, cities and empires in the Mediterranean and Near East.He was Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in History at UFSC (2020-2023), Extension Coordinator of the Department of History at UFSC (since 2018-2023), member of the Structuring Teaching Center of the Undergraduate Course in History (2018-2023) , member of the Board of the UFSC Undergraduate History Course (2018-2021) and advisor to the UFSC Publishing House (2020-2023). He is a member of the Executive Board of "Esboços Magazine: stories in global contexts" (since 2018).In addition to leading the "MITHRA - UFSC Global Ancient History Laboratory", he is part of the Migration and Environmental History Laboratory (LABIMHA-UFSC), the Ciro Cardoso Center for Pre-Capitalism (CCCP-UFF), the Subalterns and Populares group in Antiquity (USP), and is a member of the project team "Archaeology of a sanctuary: the Heraion of Delos", coordinated by Gilberto da Silva Francisco (UNIFESP) at the École Française d'Athenes.
