Alan Ferreira Pinheiro Tavares

Currently works as a volunteer professor at the State University of Amazonas - School of Technology (UEA-EST). He has served as a scientific and technical consultant at the Amazon Technology Institute (CREATHUS), and as a developer at Acta Robotics, focusing on robotic devices, autonomous navigation, and computer vision. He completed his Ph.D. in Robotics at the State University of Campinas (FEM-UNICAMP). He was a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP-UP), in collaboration with the startup Connect Robotics. He holds an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Campinas, specializing in Vehicle Safety, and a B.Sc. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the State University of Amazonas (UEA-EST). He has experience in mobile robotics, artificial intelligence algorithms for image processing, industrial automation, embedded systems, and backend web development. He worked on industrial automation and manufacturing projects and consulting for Samsung through an agreement with the State University of Amazonas. He also served as a reviewer for the National Congress of Mechanical Engineering (CONEM 2016) and the Brazilian Congress of Manufacturing Engineering (COBEF 2017). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
