Marina Pellegrino da Silva

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (University of Sao Paulo - Brazil). My interests are in conservation medicine, focusing on wildlife infectious diseases, immunopathology and wildlife comparative pathology. Had research experience in the Laboratory of Wildlife Comparative Pathology searching for the presence of pesticides in biological samples of roadkill wild carnivores from the state of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Had international experience doing an internship in the Department of Pathology of University of Georgia (USA), following research activities with infectious diseases ecology and wildlife pathology. Volunteered in brazilian conservation projects as Programa de Conservaçao Mamíferos do Cerrado e Projeto Bandeiras e Rodovias. As an undergraduate student I got involved in several extracurricular activies such as being student representative to the Graduation Committee, working as monitor in the discipline General Pathology, being president in the XXIX Veterinary Academic Week, director of courses department in the Centro Academico Moacyr Rossi Nilsson and student member in the Wildlife Studies Group.
