Vanessa Elias de Oliveira holds a Master's and PhD in Political Science from the University of São Paulo and a Master's degree in Collective Health from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. She is Associate Professor of Political Science in the Bachelor of Public Policy and permanent faculty member of the Postgraduate Program in Public Policy at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). She was Visiting Professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. She is a researcher at CNPq. She coordinates the research track Judicialization and Access to Justice and Citizenship at INCT QualiGov - Quality of Government and Policies for Sustainable Development. She is a principal researcher and director for dissemination and communication at the Center for Favela Studies (CEFAVELA) at UFABC. She is the Coordinator of Fapesp's Public Policy Research Program. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and Chair of the Gender and Diversity Committee. She is a member, as a representative of IPSA, of the Standing Committee for Gender Equality in Science (SCGES). She was President of the Brazilian Political Science Association (ABCP) between 2022 and 2024. She was a visiting research at the University of Bologna (Italy). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
