Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Bahia (2009); a master's degree in Animal Science from the Federal University of Paraíba (2015); and a PhD from the Integrated Doctoral Program in Animal Science at the Federal University of Paraíba (2018). He was awarded a scholarship for the Global Innovation Initiative summer exchange program to participate in laboratory and research activities at Ohio State University (2016). He completed a sandwich PhD abroad at Ohio State University (2017), affiliated with the Infectious Diseases Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory (IDMEL), where he worked in preventive veterinary medicine and molecular biology. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher (2018-2025) at the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences of the São Paulo State University (FCAV/Unesp), affiliated with the Department of Ornithopathology, focusing on salmonellosis of importance to poultry farming and public health. He completed a Postdoctoral internship at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Copenhagen (2021-2022). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor (Avian Diseases) and coordinates the Young Researcher - FAPESP project at the Department of Pathology, Reproduction and One Health of FCAV/Unesp. He has experience in the field of Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on Veterinary Medicine, mainly working on the following topics: Preventive Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Food Safety, and Molecular Biology.
