Bachelor in Biological Sciences at Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU)-MG, Master and PhD in Genetics and Biochemistry at the Institute of Genetics and Biochemistry of the Federal University of Uberlândia. She performed a sandwich doctorate at Salzburg University-Austria, working in the Department of Molecular Biology, focusing on expression of recombinant proteins.In the past years she worked as a Post-Doc at the Laboratory of Immunopathology at Instituto Butantan, São Paulo-SP, focusing on the molecular mechanism of local injury in snake envenomation; she was Pos Doc at the University of Virginia-USA, at the UVA Medical Center / SOM Research Core, with a primary focus on electron and confocal microscopy techniques. She worked as Research Assistant at the Department of Structural and Computational Biology-University of Vienna, with focus on protein structural characterization and research laboratory management. She worked as a Analyst of Biological Quality Control at Instituto Butantan-SP, with a main focus on cell culture and viral potency tests in vaccines.She has expertise in the area of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology, with emphasis on cell culture (primary and linage), flow cytometry, cell signaling, inflammation, evaluation of gene and protein expression by RT-PCR, western blotting, in vitro and in vivo assays, phage-display.
