Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (ICB-USP), and a Masters degree in Host-Pathogen Interaction Biology from the same institution, through a dual-degree program with Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in Germany. My academic trajectory has focused on investigating molecular mechanisms involved in infectious diseases, particularly malaria.During my masters studies, I investigated novel therapeutic targets such as the SUMOylation pathwaya post-translational modification process that regulates protein function and plays a key role in cellular stress responses and cell cycle control. This research opened avenues for developing innovative treatment strategies, especially through drug repurposing.Currently, in my PhD, I am integrating data science and molecular biology by applying artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze omics data. My goal is to identify molecular patterns associated with malaria progression and treatment. The project involves building personalized predictive models and conducting multivariate analyses of genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data using tools such as neural networks and both supervised and unsupervised machine learning. This approach aims to advance personalized medicine and contribute to the development of more effective, affordable, and accessible therapies. The focus on the Brazilian context reinforces my commitment to public health and reducing regional disparities. Concurrently, I am also developing AI-based educational strategies aimed at improving the Brazilian education system by promoting active and personalized learning methodologies. In addition to my academic background, I have experience in scientific communication, project management, and teaching. I actively engage in initiatives that promote integration between research, innovation, and education. I am committed to producing high-impact scientific knowledge with practical applications for social well-being, therapeutic innovation, and the transformation of health education in Brazil.
