Since 2013, I have worked as a PhD professor at the School of Communications and Arts, at the University of São Paulo (USP), in the Degree in Educommunication and in the Postgraduate Program in Communication Sciences. I have a degree in History from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at USP (1991), and a degree in History from the Faculty of Education at USP (1992). I carried out research for a Master's degree in Communication Sciences entitled "The educommunication process: the child at school" (2000) and a PhD in Communication Sciences entitled "Playfulness and learning in Cyberculture: internet and digital games in children's daily lives" (2005) , both at the USP School of Communications and Arts. I worked as a researcher at LAPIC (Laboratory for Research on Childhood, Imaginary and Communication) from 1996 to 2010, and since 2001 I have been a collaborating researcher at the Communication and Education Center at ECA/USP. I was Academic Director of the Montessori Faculty of Education and Culture (FAMEC) from 12/1997 to 11/2011, and president of the Editorial Board of the FAMEC Scientific Journal from 2002 to 2008. I have experience teaching in the area of #8203;#8203;History, with an emphasis on Modern and Contemporary History (Primary and Higher Education); in Communication Theory and Educommunication in Higher Education, working mainly on the following themes: educommunication, communication and education, childhood and youth, social communication and cyberculture, learning. I was the creator and coordinator of the Rede Social Educativa Minha Terra, a Portal Educarede project, from 2007 to 2011. I worked for 7 years as leader of educational projects on the Internet and trainer of educators at CENPEC - Center for Studies and Research in Education. I was a monograph supervisor in the Specialization course at Proinfo-MEC/ECA-USP "Media in Education" (2011-2013). I have been Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Association of Educommunication Researchers and Professionals (ABPEducom) since 2012. In 2015 I took over the coordination of NCE-USP - USP's Communication and Education Center. I am the leader of the CNPq Epistemology of Educommunication Research Group. Since 2019 I have been a member of the State Council for Human Rights Education in São Paulo. I was the pedagogical coordinator of the Degree in Educommunication (ECA/USP) for three terms (2015-18, 2021-23), and I assumed the Presidency of the Graduation Committee of the USP School of Communications and Arts in May 2023 with a mandate until April 2025.
