holds a degree in Social Sciences from USP (2003), a master's degree and PhD in Political Science from UNICAMP (2006 and 2011) and a postdoctorate from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) (2019-20). He is currently an Senior Lecturer of Sociology and a researcher in the Postgraduate Programme in Sociology (PPGS) at UFPE. He is also a visiting scholar at the Complutense University of Madrid and a member of the Atelier Genre(s) et Sexualité(s) at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He is coordinator of the Diversiones Research Group - Human Rights, Power and Culture in Gender and Sexuality (CNPq). He has experience in the field of Political Sociology, with an emphasis on social movements, NGOs and collective action, social participation, public policy, political parties, citizenship, homophobia and LGBT human rights in Latin America and Africa.
