Military physician of the Brazilian Air Force, graduated from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (FCMSCSP) in the year 2022. I conducted scientific research in the physiology department of FCMSCSP, focusing on cellular and molecular biology in glioblastoma. I worked with techniques in molecular myology such as PCR, RT-PCR, western blot, ELISA, monolayer cell culture, and 3D suspension culture of tumor cells.I participated in an exchange program at the University of Coimbra in the Department of Neurosciences, where I had experience with 3D multilayer cultures, exosome extraction and separation by ultracentrifugation, immunofluorescence, plasmid insertion, and differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells into neuronal cells.I attended various conferences where I received awards for work conducted in the laboratory, contributing to the discipline of Neurosurgery at Santa Casa de São Paulo. I served as a surgical technique monitor during my undergraduate studies and carried out projects in medical education in partnership with IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations) and DCMA (Manoel de Abreu Scientific Department).I completed an internship in the microbiology department, where I served as a microbiology monitor and co-authored a publication with the immunology discipline. The publication focused on evaluating peripheral macrophage function in a patient with hemophagocytic syndrome and was made available in the archives of asthma, allergy, and immunology of the Brazilian Association of Immunology and Allergy, titled "Hemophagocytosis in peripheral blood culture preceding hemophagocytosis in bone marrow biopsy in secondary hemophagocytic syndrome."I pursued electives and internships in neurosurgery, achieving an average grade of 9.5. I had the opportunity to observe various surgeries, including ventriculoperitoneal shunting, drainage of subdural and epidural hematomas, aneurysm clipping surgeries, carotid-cerebral bypass, and tumor resections such as glioblastoma, ependymoma, pilocytic astrocytoma, metastasis of breast cancer, and meningioma. I also witnessed spine surgeries, such as vertebral canal stenosis and arthrodesis, and functional surgeries, such as the installation of a morphine infusion pump in the vertebral canal.I was exposed to techniques such as awake surgery, the use of fluorescein for glioblastomas and aneurysm perfusion verification, electrophysiological monitoring, awake surgery, neuronavigation, and intraoperative ultrasound. I had the privilege of observing surgeries performed by Prof. Dr. José Carlos Esteves Veiga, Prof Dr. Jean G. de Oliveira, Prof Dr. João Vitorino, Prof. Dr. Nelson Saade, Dr. Juan Antonio Castro Flores, and Dr. Milton Hikaru Toita.I participated in internal and external events related to 3D surface neuroanatomy taught by Prof. Dr. Sebastiao Nataniel Silva Gusmão and Prof. Dr. Eduardo Carvalhal Ribas. I also participated in white fiber dissection in the Morphology Laboratory of Santa Casa and attended courses on aneurysm clipping and white fiber dissection promoted by the Association of Neurosurgeons of the State of São Paulo (SONESP).
