Lucas Modesto da Costa

Graduated in physics at the Federal University of Goiás, master and doctorate degree at the University of São Paulo and currently a postdoctoral at the Military Engineering Institute. He has experience in electronic structure and classical simulations, working mainly on the following topics: molecular modeling - classical simulations of atomic and molecular systems using molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo techniques of biological systems, solute-solvent interaction and critical phase; calculations of electronic structure involving the absorption / emission spectrum, solvent effect, optical properties in liquid crystals, nuclear magnetic resonance and spin-spin coupling, charge transfer and atomic / molecular dissociation; hybrid methodology: quantum mechanics / molecular mechanics.
