He is currently a PhD student in Geography at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. He holds a Master's degree in Biosystems Engineering and an Undergraduate degree in Geography from Universidade Federal Fluminense, as well as a Teaching degree from the Centro Específico de Formação e Aperfeiçoamento do Magistério - CEFAM. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has actively employed conservation approaches, such as Ecosystem Services and Systematic Conservation Planning. He has combined these approaches with Spatial Analysis techniques to model the impact of species or objectives exposed to extreme weather events. Additionally, he specializes in quantifying hydrological processes and evaluating the value of conservation actions. Overall, his interest focuses on the interrelationships between changes in land use and land cover patterns, climate events, and biodiversity loss.
