Leandro Merces carried out doctoral research under the guidance of Prof. Carlos C. B. Bufon at the Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory. He was awarded a Ph.D. in 2018 from the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics at the University of Campinas, Brazil. He was a FAPESP postdoctoral grantee at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials from 2019 to 2022. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Prof. Oliver G. Schmidt's group (Materials Systems for Nanoelectronics) at TU Chemnitz, Germany, from 2022 to 2024. He is a Research Associate at the Research Center for Materials, Architectures and Integration of Nanomembranes (MAIN), Chemnitz (Germany) since 2022. He is a Research Professor at Ilum School of Science at CNPEM, Campinas-SP (Brazil). His research interests focus on organic/inorganic hybrid electronics, 4D electronics, device physics, solid-liquid interfacing, and sensor applications. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
